Friends,
We have received a large number of nudges, notes and emails asking us why we always 'cut off' the images we upload to DA, leaving off - as one visitor described - 'the good bits.' We have always felt that this site is conservative in nature, regardless of the content, so we withheld any image that openly showed genitalia, in any state. We were trusting our instincts and, for several years, this has worked well. Our website does not have any sexual imagery on it and anything we posted to DA was already on our site.
However, we did succumb to a request recently, and posted a portion of one of our new images, 'Dear Diary, it was Dairy,' showing our lead character raiding the boys' dorm to raise heck for finding his unders loaded with yoghurt, while he napped. The image of Kristophe carrying his unders seemed innocent enough and, as is our custom, its central element was humour. There was nothing sexual about it, for those of us who do not consider nudity to be 'sexual.' As you might imagine, the image was deleted. And, like us, you might wonder why.
Evidently, we have broken a rule, although it is unclear to us what that rule might be, as no one has informed us as to the nature of the 'crime' committed, although telling the miscreant the essence of the travesty he/she has beset upon those around him/her might help him/her to resist the desire to do same, in the future. You know, that old bug called logic.
However, we are not distressed, nor are we flummoxed by the event. It is how things are, and that is that. In the future, those of you who wish to see more of our work (more meaning 'more,' in this context) are welcome to stop by our website. Regarding our participation on DA: we will continue to trust our instincts. It seems the wisest approach.
